89 - The Securities Exchange Committee is on a Path to War with Crypto

The SEC Strikes again! RobinHood Crypto has been hit with a Wells Notice from our favorite not-so crypto friendly agency the SEC. RobinHood Crypto is allegedly being called a clearinghouse for crypto transactions instead of an exchange. Robin Hood Crypto is not the first one to be served with a Wells Notice, we also have Coinbase, Unisawp and Metamask that all have been served in the recent past.
We had to mention the current standing of the market we are in and William went over some of the tokens that he's looking to add to his bag. We get into the IRS and how the government overspends and misallocates our taxpayer dollars.

The Bois addressed the elephant in the room, BTC crashed!! Bitcoin this week has hit the deepest retrace of about 23%. We recap some of the things going on in the market from the Hong Kong ETF performing below expectation, while William had a different opinion on that. We discuss some new Taxation laws that the IRS is putting into effect like Form 1099 - DA. Of course, we had to talk about Alex's favorite topic: taxation with a possible 44% capital gains tax and a 25% unrealized gains tax for the one-percenters. We also talked about some of the moves that the market was making since the whole market was bleeding. As of today, we are seeing a nice bounce. Welcome back, beautiful people! As you will notice the Bois have a very different setup that they will have to get used to since William is now in adventure mode hahaha. Nonetheless, we do our best to bring you some fun and interesting topics. From Bitcoin after the halving and how the ETF inflows have slowed down just a bit from the past few weeks. To Alex having to share some news from a cyber attack for the source code of El Salvador's crypto wallets known as Chivo Wallet. In the prior attack, the hackers leaked El Salvador's citizen's private information. We had a few conversations between them. We wrapped up with the FTC banning non-competes and FTX getting ready to auction off some more Solana. We know this episode might be a little rough right now but we promise the next one will be 100 times better.

The Bois clarified some funny business that happened last week. Plus the short-lived rally from last week is now gone; will we hold support? The short-lived rally is due to some GBTC sell pressure. Which won't stop for a bit longer. The Bois get into the fact that eths high gas fees are not helping the capital rotation that we have typically seen in previous cycles. This cycle looks to be going from BTC to Solana and other L1s and L2s. ETH seems to be forgotten at this point in time. We also discuss some meme coins plus a future THC Gummy meme coin that will be released the day of the halving on 4/20, Gummy On Solana. It was more of a catch-up episode with the sideways market.
